AmberQ vs AvatarTalk: a hotel host or an offline avatar appliance
AvatarTalk is an engine for kiosk builders: the avatar, the speech and the language model packaged on a device, with a custom knowledge base per venue. AmberQ is the host itself, with the hotel's content, the cards and the console, delivered as software on a screen the venue already owns. One is sold to integrators, the other to the hotel.
What AvatarTalk is
- A conversational avatar for receptionist, concierge and front desk roles, ready in 17 languages.
- The whole loop can run on the device, with conversations staying on the device; hosted and API options exist too.
- Hardware named on the page: NVIDIA DGX Spark, or an NVIDIA L4 edge GPU as the lower-cost option.
- Industries named: airports, entertainment venues, museums; customers: kiosk manufacturers, venue vendors, integrators.
- The page does not say how the knowledge base is built or maintained, nor which languages.
What AmberQ is
- Software only: the venue brings a screen with a camera and a microphone, AmberQ brings the host, the console and the screen app.
- The guest speaks one of 60 languages; the host answers in it and shows the card.
- Content comes from forms and files the venue uploads, extracted by AI and reviewed by the venue before publication.
- Skills for hotels now, conferences and stores next: menus, hours, directions, offers, requests, reviews, photo booth, board.
- Hosted in the European Union, with the information screen staying up without the model.
Choose AvatarTalk if
- You build kiosks and need an avatar engine to embed, possibly with no internet connection at all.
- You run an airport or a museum fleet with your own content team and hardware.
Choose AmberQ if
- You run a hotel, a venue or a store and want a host, not a component.
- You do not want to buy or run GPU hardware on site.
- You want the staff to edit what the host knows from a console, today.
